Philippians 4: 4-7

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

God has really spoken to me just recently about continuously have peace in all situations, and rejoicing ALWAYS.  Being anxious or frustrated solves nothing, as I have realized. This past month I have fallen into the trap of feeling anxious about many things, but Paul specifically addresses this issue to the church of Philippi by repeating over and over how important it is to rejoice in ALL situations.  I think we all need to be reminded that Christ is waiting for us to call out to Him and present EVERYTHING to Him, no matter how big or small it is...He loves us so much!

On a different note...

Two weeks ago, we got two new little additions to our boys and girls orphanages.  Above is Estaline, 15 months old (she looks like she's 6 months due to her size when she was born as well as malnourishment).  Everyone, including the girls at our orphanage fell instantly in love with her the minute they saw her.  How could we not fall in love with those gigantic brown eyes?!
To the right is her brother, Yvenel, age 8.  He has the longest eyelashes i've ever seen on a child, and the most beautiful, warm smile.  I'm excited for visitors to meet him, as I know they'll instantly fall in love with him.  Two weeks ago, their mom passed away due to asthma.  Please be praying for these two little children (and their older brother who isn't with us) as they're dealing with the loss of their mom )=  As far as I know, their dad isn't in the picture at all (which is unfortunately very common here in Haiti).  Please also be praying that they will grow up to love the Lord above all else!

  1. These two children are adorable, Dana! What a priviledge you have to love and care for them. Thanks for your encouraging words from what God is teaching you there. Love, Mom
