What's normal in Haiti...

Only in Haiti is it...

Looked at oddly if seatbelts are worn...
Uncommon to put a child in a car seat
Normal to see people carrying machetes around
Normal to receive an Avis rental car covered in mud and dents
Weird if there aren't at least 15 ants in my kitchen daily
Normal to have multiple armed guards at the grocery store
Normal to cram 15 people into a 5 seater vehicle...
Not uncommon to drive in the pouring down rain in the dark with no headlights, only emergency blinkers to light the way home...

Below: one of my guards, Reginald

  1. So are you staying at the guest house or somewhere else? REginald looks like the Manassero's guard but its been so many months since I've been there.
You are a beautiful woman and I thank God that you are following His will and being Jesus sharing His love with those children and adults. I pray that you are given peace beyond all understanding, a knowledge and wisdom that can only come through Him and His word and strenght to fly on wings like those of an eagle.
