After taking a much needed break from everything earthquake-related, I feel so rejuvinated and excited to be back in Haiti! I'll never forget how it felt to see all of the children run toward me and give me the biggest hugs ever when I returned! Everyone was so welcoming and I couldn't be happier to be serving alongside them. It's hard to explain, but there's also something about when i returned (i don't know if it's the smell of Haiti, the heat, or a combination (or something entirely different?)) that brings me back to when i first fell in love with Haiti and knew I wanted to live here. As I was thinking about everything and praising God that He restored me, He reassured me that He put a new spirit in me. I feel so blessed that He has heard my cries and heard the prayers of everyone around me! He has given me my joy back.
